EMOTIONS AT HIGH ALTITUDE

The Alta Val Formazza is a spectacular corner of the Alps, where mountain wilderness blends with a passion for high-altitude sports. Here, heliskiing becomes a unique experience, combining the adrenaline rush of downhill skiing on pristine snow with the knowledge of being in one of the most evocative and delicate environments in the Alps, with altitudes ranging from 1,300 m at Ponte to the 3,374 m of the Blinnenhorn.

HELISKIING AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

In a valley characterized by the presence of Sites of Community Importance (SCI) and Special Protection Areas (SPAs), heliskiing is practiced responsibly and with constant monitoring. Thanks to the Environmental Impact Assessment, each activity is regulated to ensure respect for alpine ecosystems, safeguarding flora and fauna.

The region has been divided into nine distinct zones, each with specific environmental and skiing characteristics. This rotation helps limit environmental impact, as does the restriction of flights to certain days: Monday through Saturday mornings, to leave weekends free for ski mountaineering.
