Winter in Val Formazza

Winter in Val Formazza offers a rich schedule of activities designed for families, children, mountain enthusiasts, and lovers of tradition. From December to February, the area comes alive with markets, creative workshops, concerts, snow events, and popular sporting events.

The calendar opens on December 6th and 7th with the **Christmas Markets** in the square on the Municipal Building side (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM), followed on December 6th by the fun **Children's Face Painting** (3:00 PM – 5:00 PM). On December 7th, the little ones can participate in the Creative Workshop "Let's Decorate for Christmas" at the Municipal Library (2:30 PM – 4:30 PM).

On December 21st, make way for music with the **Christmas Concert by the Formazza Musical Corps** together with Marta Festinoni, in the Church of SS. Bernardo e Carlo (9:00 PM). On December 24th, the eagerly awaited family event arrives: **"Santa Claus is Coming"** in the square on the Municipal Building side (3:00 PM).

On December 28th, the Municipal Library hosts the children's workshop **"The Enchanted World of Vera"** (3:00 PM – 5:30 PM). On December 30th, celebrate on the snow with **Après Ski with a DJ** at the Valdo sports field (from 4:30 PM), followed by the traditional **Ski Instructors' Torchlight Parade** and the **fireworks display** (7:00 PM).

On December 31st, to ring in the new year, **Midnight Fireworks Show** at Vallo di Ponte (12:00 AM).

The new year begins on January 2nd with the **Formazza Ski Club Christmas Bingo** at the Gemeinde Schtubë de Ponte (9:00 PM), while on January 3rd the **Ski Mountaineering Race** takes place at the Valdo sports field (5:00 PM).

From January 9th to 11th, the **Cinghiostreffen** event returns, at the Valdo Festival Area.

The season continues with races 1 and 2 of the **Italian Snowmobile Championship** on January 24th and 25th at the Toce Waterfall. On January 31st, at the Gemeinde Schtubë de Ponte (8:45 PM), the presentation of the book **"K2 – Two Friends and a Dream"** by Marco Majori and Federico Secchi will be held.

The events conclude on February 21st and 22nd with races 3 and 4 of the **Italian Snowmobile Championship**, again at the Toce Waterfall.
